Ashish Kansara Presented a Gift to Indian Air Force Officers Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated in Bhuj in a unique way. A grand air show was organized for the general public of Bhuj by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force. During this event, an Ashish Kansara Rogan Painting artist from Madhapar, Kutch, presented a specimen of the vanishing Rogan art to the officers. The Indian Air Force personnel were left spellbound after seeing this wonderful artistic craftsmanship of Rogan Art.
Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Team Welcomed Following the Republic Day Air Show
The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran team has been accorded the status of the world’s smallest and Asia’s only nine-aircraft aerobatic team. This team performed thrilling air shows in Mumbai, Bharuch, and Bhuj on January 25th and 26th.
On both days, from 8:00 AM in the morning until 3:00 PM in the afternoon, an exhibition of weapons was also organized by the Air Force. Furthermore, briefings regarding ships and various aircraft were provided. The citizens of Bhuj thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful and thrilling sight in the sky on January 26th.
According to a conversation with Group Captain G.S. Dhillon, this team first performed a flypast over the Red Fort in 1998 during Independence Day celebrations, demonstrating a formation of nine aircraft. They have performed more than 500 displays across 72 cities in the country. Exhibitions have been organized from Srinagar in the North to Thiruvananthapuram in the South, and from Naliya, the westernmost airbase in the West, to Chabua airfield in the East. Srinagar is the highest airfield at an altitude of 5,436 feet. They have also performed demonstrations in the capitals of Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, and Singapore.

During the two-day weapon exhibition and air show organized at the Bhuj Air Force Station, Ashish Kansara, a Rogan art artist residing in Madhapar near Bhuj, got a replica of Surya Kiran team Logo specially framed using Indian Rogan art and presented it as a gift to the Surya Kiran team. The officers of the Surya Kiran team were amazed to learn about Rogan art. They honored the artist for gifting the framed Rogan art piece and also expressed their gratitude to him.
